How to Compare Supplement Labels

Clear product information makes shopping easier. Use these four checks to compare the details on supplement labels before choosing a formula.

1. Compare serving sizes

The number of capsules, tablets, or milliliters in a serving can differ between products. Compare the listed amount per serving and the servings per container, rather than bottle size alone.

2. Read the complete ingredient list

Look at both the Supplement Facts panel and other ingredients. Check ingredient forms, flavorings, and the product’s allergen information.

3. Choose a format that fits your routine

Our categories include capsules, tablets, powders, and liquid drops. Review the directions for each specific product; a different format does not automatically make formulas interchangeable.

4. Ask before combining formulas

Bring the labels or product links to your pharmacist or healthcare professional, especially when considering more than one formula.
